5. Legal bases for processing
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process personal information as necessary to take steps at your request or fulfil a contract; comply with a legal obligation; pursue legitimate business and security interests that do not override your rights; act with your consent; or protect someone’s vital interests in an emergency.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.
6. Sensitive information
Dietary, allergy, medical, accessibility and mobility information may be considered sensitive personal information. We collect only information reasonably relevant to assessing, arranging or safely delivering the requested travel services. Where required by applicable law, we will ask for explicit consent.
We disclose sensitive information only to people who reasonably need it for your journey, such as authorised Fatima staff, vessel crew, guides or relevant service providers. Please provide only information relevant to your travel arrangements.
7. Payments
When a payment is required, payment or banking providers may process payment details under their own terms and privacy policies. We may receive and retain information such as the amount paid, payment status, date, invoice details and transaction reference.
Do not submit full payment-card details through our general enquiry forms, ordinary email or WhatsApp.

We do not sell or rent guest personal information. We take reasonable steps to use service providers that handle personal information appropriately and only for the relevant service.
9. International processing
Fatima operates in Egypt and works with guests, partners and service providers in different countries. Your personal information may therefore be processed in Egypt or another country where a relevant service provider operates. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from the laws in your country.
Where required by applicable law, we take appropriate steps to protect personal information transferred internationally.
10. Cookies and website analytics
Our website uses essential cookies and similar technologies for functions such as security, navigation, consent preferences and portal access.
With your permission, we may also use analytics or other non-essential technologies to understand how visitors use the website and improve our services. Analytics information may include session activity, approximate location, browser and device information, and interactions with pages or features.
We do not intentionally send guest names, email addresses, telephone numbers, passport details or enquiry messages to website analytics services.
You can accept, reject or change your non-essential cookie choices through the cookie controls on our website. Please see our separate Cookie Policy for more information.
11. Marketing communications
We may send news, journey information or promotional communications where you have asked to receive them or where permitted by applicable law. You may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe option in the communication or by contacting info@fatimadahabya.com.
Unsubscribing from marketing will not prevent necessary communications about an enquiry, quotation, booking, payment, journey or service request. We do not sell personal information for third-party marketing.
12. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet applicable legal, accounting, contractual, security and dispute-resolution requirements.
Retention periods depend on the type of information and why it is needed. We consider whether an enquiry remains active, whether a booking or service has been completed, applicable record-keeping obligations, security needs, and whether information is required to resolve a dispute or establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
When personal information is no longer reasonably required, we take appropriate steps to delete it, securely dispose of it or anonymise it. Some information may remain for a limited period in protected backups or records that must be retained by law.
13. Security
We use reasonable administrative, organisational and technical measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure. Access is limited to people who reasonably require the information for their work or to deliver the requested services.
No website, online service, messaging platform or email system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive documents or payment-card details through ordinary email, enquiry forms or WhatsApp unless we provide an appropriate method.
14. Your privacy rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have the right to:
- request access to your personal information;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- request deletion of certain information;
- request restriction of certain processing;
- object to certain processing;
- withdraw consent;
- request a portable copy of certain information where applicable; and
- complain to an appropriate data-protection authority.
These rights are not absolute. In some circumstances, we may need to retain or continue using information to comply with a legal obligation, fulfil a contract, protect another person, or establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
To make a privacy request, email info@fatimadahabya.com with the subject line Privacy Request. Please describe your request clearly. We may ask for information necessary to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the period required by applicable law.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, social networks, payment services or other independently operated services. Their handling of personal information is governed by their own privacy policies. Fatima is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of independently operated websites and services.
17. Changes to this policy
