The terms applying to quotations, deposits, balances, changes and cancellations.
Quotations and booking confirmation
Website information is a planning guide. Availability, the services included and the final price are confirmed only in a written Fatima quotation. A booking becomes confirmed only after the required deposit has been received and acknowledged in writing.
Deposit, balance and payment
The standard working deposit is 25% unless the quotation states otherwise. The balance due date, bank-transfer instructions, currency and any stated transfer or banking charges will be shown in the quotation or invoice. Please do not send funds to bank details received from an unexpected or unverified source.
Changes and cancellations
The cancellation and amendment terms that apply to a booking are those shown in the confirmed quotation. Private charters, peak periods, third-party services and special arrangements may carry different conditions. Any requested change remains subject to availability and any resulting supplier or operational cost.
Changes by the operator and flexible navigation
Wind, water level, Esna lock schedules, site opening times, permissions, safety considerations and operational requirements may change the precise order or timing of visits. Where a change is necessary, the team will protect the principal character and quality of the confirmed journey wherever reasonably possible.
Minimum sailing and operational requirements
Shared departures may be subject to the minimum operating requirements stated in the quotation. If a sailing cannot operate as confirmed, the Fatima team will contact affected guests with the available alternatives and the terms applying to that booking.
Passports, visas, insurance and travel arrangements
Guests are responsible for valid passports, visas, travel insurance, international and domestic travel arrangements not expressly included, and obtaining appropriate personal medical advice before travel.
Health, mobility and dietary information
Fatima is a traditional river vessel with steps, gangways and variable shore access. Archaeological sites can include uneven ground. Mobility, dietary and other practical requirements should be shared before confirmation so the team can assess arrangements honestly. Sharing a requirement does not by itself guarantee that it can be accommodated.
Third-party services
Some transfers, flights, hotels, guides, entrance tickets and optional activities may be provided by third parties. The quotation will identify the services included in the confirmed arrangement and any important supplier-specific conditions communicated to Fatima.
